Kleiner Chor Köln was founded in 1987 by Andreas Meisner.
Its 35 mostly young singers dedicate their musical task especially to a cappella compositions of the Baroque and the Romantic. The choir also performed larger choir works, e.g. "St. John's Passion", "St. Matthew's Passion" and "Mass in B minor" by Johann Sebastian Bach or masses by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart or Claudio Monteverdi's "Vespro della Beata Vergine" (Marian Vespers of 1610).

Kleiner Chor and Oratorienchor Köln complement each other in common performances of larger choir works like "Deutsches Requiem" (German Requiem) by Brahms, "Quattro pezzi sacri" and "Messa da Requiem" by Verdi or "Messa di Gloria" by Puccini.
