Domkantorei Altenberg is the choir of the Protestant church parish of Altenberg. It was led by the director of church music Prof. Volker Hempfling from 1972 to 1997; since 1998 it is conducted by Andreas Meisner.
The choir contributes to dívine services in Altenberg Cathedral and Andreaskirche in Schildgen which are the two churches of the parish. On the other hand the choir is devoted to great works of church music from the Renaissance up to the mordern era.
Domkantorei Altenberg travelled through lots of European countries on concert tours.
